L-STEM is a coalition of Louisiana educators, businesses, community organizations and state agencies who are committed to elevating the performance of ALL Louisiana youth in the STEM disciplines.
There are 5 goals of the L-STEM Initiative. These goals guide the coalition's efforts and are used to set objectives and priorities.
To be successful, L-STEM must be a coalition. As with T-STEM, the resources of industry are needed, higher education must be a participant, and K12 must be actively engaged.
Louisiana is rich in natural human and environmental resources. The environment of the state offers greater diversity of animal species, ecological habitats, and natural resources than most states in the US.
